Ekeisha begun playing the piano and violin at the tender age of 5, however the piano stole her heart. She embarked on piano lessons where she excelled as a young child, however she slowly drifted away from lessons. She continued playing the keyboard, however her love for piano revisited in secondary school at the age of 13 years old. Influenced by her music teacher who named Ekeisha a genius her mother rented an upright piano, this is when Ekeisha became inseparable from the piano. With the help of in-school lessons she passed her Grade 1 Classical Piano, skipped to Grade 3, then Grade 4 and 5 Ekeisha continues her music education.
At the age of 13 Ekeisha was lucky enough to be invited to the BBC Proms due to entering the Young Composers Competition; she was granted a place to perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and attend a variety of workshops. Since then Ekeisha balancing her love of Sciences and Music has not stopped composing and playing the piano. Ekeisha's compositions vary from Neo-Classical to what she entitles 'Fusion' as she is influenced by Jazz, Blues and Soul as well as her favourite Classical composers such as Erik Satie and Frederic Chopin.
Ekeisha hopes to engage the listener through her pieces, allowing them to embark on a musical journey through space and time.
